We all recognise the need to protect our planet and minimise our impact on it. Here at Maison Vivi, we are committed to minimising our footprint on the world as much as possible.
Products
Our products are hand made and packaged in our studio in London. We don’t believe that any animal should suffer for our benefit, and in keeping with our clean and ethical stance, all products are free from animal testing. All our products are free of palm oil, mineral oils, parabens and contain no additives.
Natural Ingredients The wax we use is a natural coconut blended wax from a long-standing reputable supplier with excellent traceability. Wherever possible, the essential oils we use are from the UK and mainland Europe, helping to cut carbon emissions. We don’t use any oil from a protected or endangered species. We will reformulate the blend if any oil used in our blends subsequently appears on the at-risk register. By taking this preemptive action, we ensure that our blends impact the environment as little as possible. The suppliers we use can provide us with full traceability for the products. You can find out more about the natural ingredients we use in our other journal entry here.
Packaging
Our branded packaging is made and printed in the UK in harmony with our natural approach to our products. Everything is recyclable, from the candle box to the boxes and protective packaging used for postage. The candle jar can be recycled or repurposed at the end of its life. Our handmade bags for our wax melts use the highest quality linen. Although more expensive than alternatives, the fabric is naturally biodegradable and recyclable, essential for our brand ethics. The linen used is also OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning that it has been tested and shown to be free of any harmful substances.
The future
There is still work to be done by all of us to help protect our planet. We promise that we will continue to monitor our footprint and make improvements when we can. If you have any suggestions about how we can improve things, please get in touch with us.
